Since 16 September 2021, Henriette Spyra has headed the Directorate General "Innovation and Technology".

Henriette Spyra has many years of experience in the research, technology and innovation sector and was previously head of science at the Federal Environment Agency after holding positions in economic development in Germany, at the Austrian Institute of Technology (AIT), at AustriaTech and at the BMVIT.
