Action Plan

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) forms part of the work programme of the Austrian Strategy for Sustainable Development and is an objective of the Federal Government.

Corporate Social Responsibility plays a dominant role when it comes to securing natural and social resources. You are encouraged to actively assume responsibility when it comes to preventing human rights violations and environmental damage.

The three lead ministries, i.e. the Federal Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs, Health and Consumer Protection (BMASGK), the Federal Ministry for Digital and Economic Affairs (BMDW) and the Federal Ministry for Sustainability and Tourism (BMNT), have agreed on a joint roadmap for drafting a national Action Plan for corporate social responsibility.

This initiative was launched in response to a request relating to CSR 2011 that the European Commission directed to the Member States. It was implemented as part of the work programme of the Austrian Strategy of Sustainable Development.
