The CTCN, as its main function, has been inviting requests from developing countries ( Non Annex 1) for providing technical assistance. These requests for TA are both in the areas of climate change mitigation and adaptation or are cross sectoral targeting both. As per the procedures established by the Advisory Board of the CTCN the services of the CTCN Consortium Partners are sought to develop the response plans for these TAs which are kind of TORs and they define in a more concrete manner the activities to be conducted under the TA. Further, if the nature of the response plan is such that it can be done in a quick manner and the budgetary estimate is of lower range of our TA scope, it is implemented by the CPs itself. In cases where the estimated budget is considerable, up to 250 000 USD, the network partners are invited to bid for the implementation work as per UN procurement rules.
